2-year-old Arkansas girl

Two-year-old Ava Ann Marie Tabor of De Queen, Arkansas, was tragically killed on March 4, 2025, while in the care of 19-year-old babysitter Wesley Davis in Lockesburg. Ava, known for her joyful personality and love of music, was found unresponsive and later died at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Davis initially claimed she was unresponsive but later confessed to physically assaulting her. His charges were upgraded to first-degree murder, and a $1 million bond was set with a no-contact order.

Ava’s mother, Kylie Perez, expressed heartbreak on social media, vowing justice for her daughter: “YOU TOOK MY WORLD.” The case has shocked the community and prompted threats against Davis, but authorities are urging due process.

In a final act of kindness, Ava’s organs were donated to help others. Her funeral will be held March 13 in De Queen, Arkansas.
